Response to Tier 5 Lockdown: what we are doing to keep everyone safe
- We are reducing numbers of staff and students in the building by moving much of our learning online
- We are prioritising an identified small group who will continue to attend on site
- No one to enter the building if they have symptoms*
- Temperatures will be checked on entry the building for the day
- Hand wash/sanitise as on entry and departure and regularly
- If someone becomes symptomatic, they have to go home, self-isolate and get tested
- Enhanced cleaning and weekly deep cleans
- Keep records of who is where -if needed for track and trace
- Staff, students and visitors must wear a face mask while inside the college buildings (unless exempt)
- Use tissues and bins – catch it, kill it, bin it
- Cleaning of classroom desks and touched equipment at the beginning of lessons
- Maintain social distance as far as practical (2m without masks, 1m with)
- internal meetings largely changed to virtual or blended
- Use of a one-way system
- Increased focus on ventilation
- Once on site to stay on site until the end of the day
- Streaming / recording of performances rather than live audiences
- Virtual masterclasses and work experience
All staff will be sent a copy of the updated Covid Risk assessment, if anyone else wants a full copy they are welcome. If you have any questions/concerns please do bring them to Robin or Camille.
